We are finally at the hotel! yea! Please pray that things go well and that we make it all the way home this time. Kinda scary after the last time....We will take it easy and slow. Not sure when we will start out.We will probably take two days getting to Augusta. That is where our car is. He is in the room resting right now. He is wanting something to eat besides hospital food. One bite and then he is usually finished so I will be eating whatever he orders and leaves on his plate. I sure hope I like his choices..... ha!Please keep RT's Dad in your prayers as he is in the hospital in Hugoton. When it rains, it pours....... He has had a stressful month with me out of the office and then this is added stress along with the markets up and down...... Also keep Brecken and Tate in your prayers. They are going through some testing.Hope to be home and see everyone soon. Jeanie, tell Father I sure hope he has some good dove soup! Ha! What a guy! At least he is not breaking windows at the school playing golf..... Hope Angela is keeping a close eye on her kids.Hope to see you all soon.Love and prayers,Roxie

Hi Roxie & Robert. Glad you're one step closer to being home. Roxie, when I talked to you I forgot to tell you we went to Gardner Village on a Quest for the bracelet like you bought. I found them & they had several differn't kinds. Rhinestones, love, expect miracles, believe. Not sure if they had that variety when you were there. Also I just got this email in and thought I would forward on to you and Robert
(I hope I don't offend anyone)
Quote for the day:

'Whatever you give a woman, she's going to multiply.

If you give her sperm, she'll give you a baby.

If you give her a house, she'll give you a home.

If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal.

If you give her a smile, she'll give you her heart.

She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her.

So - if you give her crap,
You will receive more sh_t than any one human being can handle.

We love you and are thinking of you. Love, Pam, Tom & family xoxo

Pam, I had to cry when I read your msgs. I've handled about enough crap. It is all so true. I do OK until things get negitive and then I begin to break down. Don't you love those bracelets? I got all the girls one last year for Christmas and Renissa said that was her favorite one to wear. They only had a few when I was there. Thought they were so reasonable in price.
Robert did eat a litte soup so that is more than he has eaten for several days so maybe his appetite will start to come back. He is napping right now.
Jill, thanks for keeping this updated. You have done a wonderful job with it and everyone loves it. Sure saves me lots of phone calls. There were days I was just too tire to even talk.....
I only thought working wore me out.
Being at a hospital 12 hours a day is exhausting. I think I'll go up and try and take a nap also or relax and read. Thanks for everything. Rox

"Sounds like Uncle Robert has had some setbacks-I hope all will get better! Roxie is wise to stay in Rochester for a few days after discharge. Being in home health as long as I was-I repeateadly seen pts sent back into the hosp within 1-3 days after discharge." Rox and Robert, the above advice is from Glonda. As you know, she is a nurse. I didn't ask her permission to send her advice but I know she won't mind. She is such a kind & loving person. Glad you are out of the hospital, Robert so you take it easy and don't rush things. Keep eating soup.......one of the best nourishments for healing. Also, both of you try to sleep as much as possible before going on the road. Don't know if you remember, but Mom always said that your body is healing when you are sleeping. Hope Glonda doesn't sue me! haha
Love & Prayers, Relda & ML

Good morning mom and dad,
Hope you had a great night! We are headed to Oklahoma today. It is going to be a nice day out. I can't believe how beautiful the weather has been in September. Will call you on our way home.

Rox & Robert we are still thinking of you each day and hope to hear soon that you can start home and get there safely. It must feel so good Robert to be out and be able to not have someone in your room waking you up to take a pill or a walk or a shower. Ha ha Nurses keep you busy it seems, anyway they did me when I was in there. Rox I hope that you are getting some rest also but I know it is hard to do that under the circumstances. I know you will be so happy to get home and I pray each day to hurry and let that happen. Have to run so take care and I love you both and your family. Love Hermaine

Robbie has arranged for us to get a rental car this morning. We will head out and take it slow and easy. Don't have to have the car returned to Wichita until Sun morn so we have plenty of time.
Robert seems to be feeling OK. We both slept pretty good last night, but are ready to be back in our own bed. Hope we make it this time!! So ready to be home.
We won't be there very long before we have to head back up here Oct 6th and 7th for checkup appts.
He did eat a little breakfast, part of a donut, a fruit cup and a little apple juice.
Pray for safe travels and that he continues to not have pain that isn't controllable. Anxious to see everyone at home. "Toto, there is no place like home in Kansas."
Love and prayers,
Roxie
