I toured the Hope Lodge. We are # 26 on the waiting list. Hopefully it won't be to long before we get in.It is really nice and will make the time here more pleasant.Went to Walmart and got groceries so we don't have to eat every meal out. We have a refrig and microwave in the room so we will get by.Robert took a nap while I did the running around. The sun did come out and the temps improved a little. Love to all, Roxie

Good Morning Papa & Nana! I hope that everything is going good. Do the prepare meals for you at the Hope Lodge? If not you might want to invest in a crockpot! Aunt Rhea Rhea can send you some recipes, I hear she is the "Queen" of crockpot cooking. Rowdy is doing good. Him and Rudy are having a lot of fun playing. Take care and know that our thoughts and prayers are with you! Love- Rod, Jill, Shae and Chan

We are going to Harmony, MN today and do a Amish tour before Robert starts treatments and doesn't feel like doing anything. It is a 2 1/2 hour tour with a guide driving our car. He will tell us about the history and stop and show us things.
Sounds interesting.
At the Lodge, they have crockpots and all kinds of cooking equipment and then several nights a week, different organizations bring in supper. They also have activities during the week. Anxious to get over there. Will let you know once we get there. Interesting people over there. One gal about age 30 has been there since Sept.
She has three little kids at home, so makes 6 weeks look pretty short.
Always something to count your blessings for.
Have a good weekend and I'll stay in touch. Love ya all, Roxie

We went on the Amish tour. It was nice but I wouldn't want to live without the modern conveniences.
Had good homemade soup at a small cafe in Harmony, MN. It was so good we brought two more bowls home with us. Robert bought a jar of homemade pickles from an Amish place. You know how he likes his pickles. He says they are good. He will probably take a nap now. Will check out to see when Mass is tomorrow. We have several churches to choose from. Might have to try all of them in the next six weeks.
Happy Saturday! Love Roxie

We went to Church at St John's this morning at 9:30, then to a Dutch family cafe called Pannekoeken Family Dinning. It was very good.
I had a bacon pannekoeken. It was like french toast with bacon in it.
We walked to church in the tunnels and only had to go outside one block to get to the cafe.
Robert is taking a nap and I think I'll run to Walmart, just to get out of the hotel room for awhile.
Are any of you having Super Bowl parties? Wish I were there to help eat all the goodies. I don't even know who is playing!!! ha!
I do want to watch Matt Lauer interview the President before the game.
It is 32 degrees here this morning and suppose to be 12 tomorrow.
Congrats to Ky on his wins at Hoisington wrestling tourney. Wish we could have been there.
Sending hugs to all. Love, Rox
6 days down and several weeks to go............ Love, Rox
