No feaver, no bowel obstruction,no kinks in bowel, no abcess showing on the CT scann. They say the fluid is normal after this kind of surgery. Has Adema which they say is normal and the fluid is pushing on his lungs so they want him to get up and walk and use his breather to take deeper breaths. They have finally given him clear liquids after 4 days of not eating so that made him happy. Well, some what???? They will keep him on antibiatics and are calling in a breathing specialist to do some testing on his lungs. Pieces of his lungs are not expanding, so they will watch so he doesn't get pnemonia. Didn't really see anything abnormal on the scan. I haven't talked to any Dr's today, just what the nurses told me. Don't know if the test on lung will be Sat or Mon. I'm heading to the motel to try and relax. It has been a long day. Relda, if you read this you might send me Kaleigh's address so I can try and get a BD card to her. How old this year? 22???Pam, I want you to know my angels are really keeping me awake!!! ha! Love and prayers to all.Rox

Glad to hear the news about Robert. Sounds like he just needs lots and lots of rest and to take it easy so he can get well. You keep getting your rest also so you can stay strong for both of you. We will leave pretty soon for Kansas so will check in again Monday. Love you and tell Robert hi from Bill and I and that we are praying everyday for his recovery. Love You Hermaine
Good morning mom and dad,
Hope you both had a good night. I hope dad was able to get up and walk last night and hopefully some more today. We are headed to Nolan's soccer game at 10:00. It is going to be 80 degrees here today.
Camrea looked at the refrigerator this morning and saw dad's picture and said, "Pop Pop." It was too cute!!
Love to you both! Take care...will call you later.
Renissa and family
Talked to Dr Kendrick's assistant Dr Andrade this morn. Things are looking good. Meds are doing what they are suppose to be doing. White blood count is down. Normal fluids around the plevic area as expected after surgery of this kind. Pancreas is inflammed which is probably causing the severe pain. No drain tube is needed at this point. They gave him a pneumonia shot and are doing breathing treatments to help with the lungs. Coughing hurts but will help get stuff out that needs to come out. They will take the cath out today so that will make it easier to walk and try to get him off of the oxygen. They will keep him a few days and monitor his progress. Will let everyone know when we will head home. I'm sure we won't rush it. Might even stay a fews days here after being realeased just to make sure he is able to tolerate traveling. Thanks for all your love and prayers. Tell all my family hello at the wedding today. Will miss seeing everyone and will miss leading the Grand March at the dance. Dance one for both of us. Love, Rox
Glad that everything is going well. We also wish we were going to be at Tara's wedding but the trip to Jersey was enough traveling for the rest of the year. We are going down to Denver this afternoon for a pig roast. One of our friends does pig roast catering but he & his wife hold their own party each year. We will check the blog when we get home. So happy to hear good news! Also glad that you are going to stay a few days before heading home. Nice & easy. Renelle is still having problems with her incision...now they are saying that she was also allergic to the inside sutures. It's taking much longer to heal from all the complications and she is getting really bored staying at home and not being able to do all of her outdoor activities. At least she can drive and get out of the house and also walk in the park.
Love & Prayers,
Relda & ML
I went back to the hotel to check on my laundry and Charlie Munger, billionaire partner of Warren Buffet stopped me to check on Robert and told me he wanted to give him his book. I brought it over to Robert and that put a smile on his face. "Third Addition of Poor Charlie's Almanac". Quite interesting. I also was in the laundry room the same time as his son so I guess everyone has to do laundry regardless of how much money you have. Also sickness doesn't care if you are wealthy or not. Mr Munger's wife fell down stairs and has been here over 6 weeks. They are hoping to go home next Wed. I hope Robert has another chance to visit with him before we go home. He told me again this morning how much he enjoyed visiting with Robert and Robert didn't have a clue as to how important of a man he was talking to...... Rox
Just got back from Nolan's soccer game. They tied 1 to 1 and Nolan scored their only goal. Camrea Jean is taking a nap so I will take advantage of the time and clean my house and do laundry. Talk to ya this afternoon.
Love ya!
I've been gone all day at a sale in Holcomb, it is so good to hear the news that everything is close to normal. Roxie, it nice to see you are embracing the computer to let us all know what is going on, we are all pretty nosy people. According to the tracking on the mail, it should have been delivered to the hospital at 11:39 today. If you haven't gotten it yet, start looking, it's there somewhere. My thoughts and prayers are with you two more than you will ever know. If you have the time, be sure to enjoy Rochester, I always thought it looked like a neat town but when I was there, but it didn't get over 10 degrees above zero and it was covered in ice and snow. Not sightseeing weather. ED
