Another day, another dollar......I went to Mass @ 4:30. Robert walked 4 times which was very good. They will do breathing treatments on him until about 10 and then let him get a good night's rest. He had a rough one last night. I'm headed to the hotel to rest. I did take an hour nap this afternoon. I needed it. I'm still tired. Roxie

Robert finally got to get up and take a shower after 6 days so that made him feel better. Said his pain level is improving. YEA! He still has the oxygen on but said he slept good last night. We ordered him breakfast so we will see how much he eats. Nothing tastes or smells good to him. He didn't eat much of what he ordered last night. His white blood count is up one point from yesterday but all other vitals good. The Dr said the swelling in his legs was normal because of all of the fluids that were being put into him. Thought they would go down when he started walking more. He is weak from laying in bed. Will keep you updated. I slept good last night also. Rox

That is great news! Both of you need your rest. We are waiting on a couple of our friends to come cut down a dead tree in our side yard. They are going to use it for firewood. We don't use our fireplace so we don't need the wood. Hope you both have a good Sunday! Love, Relda & ML

It's 1:00 p.m. and we have just been out to the courtyard for about an hour. He walked twice while we were out there. He did eat oatmeal, part of a pear, some custard and juice for breakfast. That's the most he has eaten in 6 days. He's just not hungery. I'm going to eat, needless to say I'm still eating and not losing any weight!!!! Just sit all day and then eat, that has been my schedule. I did walk in the courtyard for 30 minutes this morning while he was sleeping. I'm going to the hotel to take a nap. I'm sure the nurses can handle him for a few hours. He does have a roommate so they have been visiting also which has help with me being away for awhile.

Well...Camrea Jean and I both enjoyed an afternoon nap. We took a walk and found the ducks. It is 87 degrees here. Glad you both went out and enjoyed the fresh air. A walk always puts me in a better mood. Always remember..."When life gives you lemons...make lemonade." :-)
Love to you both!!!

Rox we got home around 4.45P.M. Had a good trip and everyone thought of you and Robert when they did the Wedding March. We were all sad you could not make it but beleive me they were all pulling for Robert and all of you. Kyra and Jason led the march for you. They all said they knew you both would be back to do the next wedding March who ever that will be. Will know in the future who will be the next one. This was Kevin and Tamis last daughter to get married so they are all married now. Kyra and Jason done good leading the march so was glad someone knew how to lead it since you and Robert could not be there to do it for them.. Marilyn made it also and she had a good time and will go back Thursday morning. The only thing sad about the wedding was that all the sisters and brothers were not there. I appreciate our family more and more since the years go by. We are so lucky to have each other. I hope you get to return home soon but don't do it to fast. I know you want to be home so bad but take it easy and soon it will be. I told the family at breakfast what you told me to tell them and they all laughed and said that is what you think. You have us all no matter what and will have to put up with us. ha ha Give our love and prayers to Robert and tell him I seen how much love our family has for him this weekend. They all were so concerned and want his good health back as soon as possible. Take care Love You Hermaine

Nana & Papa- Just wanted you to know we really miss you and can't wait to see you! Take care of yourself so that you can come home soon, Papa that means listening to what they tell you to do, I know that is not fun but it is what has to happen right now so that you can come home soon. Remember when I was pregnant with Shae and I had to stay at Wichita in the hospital for 1 1/2 months, now I look back and it is just a vague memory because what you get in return is so much bigger than that. Rod is just finishing up planting Robert's wheat he should be home in about an hour. We just wanted to send out hugs and kisses from all of us to you! Know that you are in our every thought! Love Ya! Rod, Jill, Shaelee, Chandler & Rudy

If anyone needs a good book to read, here it is...The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch. It is written by a guy that had pancreatic cancer. Once I started it, I couldn't put it down. I might warn you...keep your kleenex box nearby.

We are still here........
White blood count elevated again today to 21 and red ones a little low. 8.8 Not sure what is going on. We will hang around and wait.
The Dr's came in really early so I wasn't here.
Thanks to everyone for all the Happy Birthday wishes. I feel 160 instead of just 60!!!!
Thanks Renissa's and Ryan's for the balloon and gift card. I will put it to good use if I ever get to shop again. Renissa, you might have to rescue me for some girl fun! Pam W, if you read this please let your Mom know we are praying for her today as she has her knee surgery! Pray does wonders, she knows as I know she has her beads worn thin!
They took the pain pump off of Robert and are giving him pills that last longer at one time.
We'll take one day at a time and see what happens. Pat, I rode the elevator with Mr Charlie last night but forgot to ask about the jet ride. Maybe I'll see him again today. We are getting to be "Best Buds". He is always asking "How is our guy doing today?" Nice fellow. Thanks again for everything everyone has done and all the msgs and phone calls. We love hearing from everyone. Ed, we got the mail package early this morning. Looks like we owe you big time for all the postage it took to get it here. THANKS! Now maybe we can keep the wolfs away from the door for a little while anyway! ha!
Everyone have a good day!

Happy birthday, Rox! The best thing about having an older sister is when you're old, she's still older.........and the best thing about having a younger sister is that you'll always be more mature & experienced. haha Tell Robert hi and that we continue to pray for him. ML is in bed sick today with some kind of crud.......he has completely lost his voice.......now I can say whatever I want to and he can't make one of his smart alec comments to me. Today is Renelle & Chris's first anniversary! I think they are going to dinner this evening and then some kind of play downtown. I think she said it was called "The Naughty Muppets!" Sounds adult to me. hehe
Love & prayers, Relda & ML

Thanks to everyone for all the phone calls, cards, packages, blog messages, flowers and gifts for my birthday. In spite of everything I have been celebrated for my "Big 60!" Not the kind of celebrated that I thought we would have, but oh well, life sometimes gives us detours.......
I didn't have a BD cake but I did go accross the street and indulge in a Strawberry crepe! yum, yum!
I have Robert down here at the blog to see the update on the Wind farm. Lung x-rays OK and Urine test OK, so we will continue to see what tomorrow brings. Thanks again for everyone's love and prayers. Rox
