As everyone knows it is Grammie Roxie's birthday! Not a good way to spend your birthday. Robert's white blood count is still 21 and his red blood count is low at 8.8. His lung xray's and urine test turned out ok. Papa is still not eating much, he says the food just doesn't taste right to him. Hopefully that will change soon so that he can come home. Thanks to everyone for all your thoughts and prayers.

Happy Birthday Brecken & Jill.
I won't tell the world how old both of you are but you have a ways to catch up to me but the years sure do fly by fast so enjoy each moment of every day! Wish I could be there to help you both celebrate but God had a different plan for us this year.
Papa is up taking a shower and says the Dr's say he is getting better everyday. Still on pain meds, oxygen and IV's but is making progress. Still says everything smells and tastes like burn chicken feathers...... Takes one bite and can't eat the rest. I'm praying we can get some nutrition down him soon. That should make him stronger and feeling better. Have a great day!
Love you both lots! Hope Smoke won his Football game last night.
Tate called and talked to Grandpa. That put a smile on his face. Nolan called but he was asleep. He walked in to see the RES blog site and the new pics of Tenley and Talen on the blog. Take care and thanks for all the well wishes and prayers. Rox

Hope you had a great 60th b-day, Rox!!!! We're thinking of you!. Take a
little extra time in the courtyard today and reflect on all the good that
has happened these past 60 years....and remember...God doesn't give us more
than we can handle....He helps us handle what we are given. I believe you
shared that with me about 3 years ago...I think of it often.

Curt's and Darren's were here over the weekend to help plan Mom and Dad's
60th Anniversary...were you really just born when they were getting
married?!! Tell Robert we are planning on you guys partying with us in
November!! :)

Renissa...Shawn and the kids gave me "The Last Lecture" for my b-day. I,
too, thought it looked like a book you couldn't put down. I can't wait to
read it!!

Take care of yourselves...hoping for a speedy recovery.
Hugs and prayers...Cindy, Shawn, Hayden & Jenna

Gram,
Thanks for the birthday wish. Yesterday all my Aunties, Mom, & Laura made me a special early birthday lunch. It was so special to get to spend that time with them---wish you could have been there!! Have you received your gift from Dianna yet? She had the greatest gift idea!!! Hope you enjoy it!!
Ky did win the game last night!! Yeah...it has been 14 years since we beat Stanton Co.& now we have done it twice in a row!!!
Today will be a little quieter day for me. Tate and I gave our last viles of blood this morning for the tests. 6 viles for him & 8 for me...I think we both feel drained! Today I think I feel like I am 60 instead of 38 (pretty tired and ache), a nice nap with Lacey sound like it is in order for the afternoon.
Tomorrow it will be 20 years since I joined your family and still today I feel so blessed to be in such a special and amazing family!!! Love you both lots and hope you have a good day. Take time to enjoy the flowers in the garden for me today...
Love,
Lou

We just took a long walk down at the courtyard and then over to the park accross the street. The wind is blowing, not quite like Kansas, but the temps are nice. They are going to give him lacics,(sp)? to get rid of some of the water weight. They are doing stool cultures to see if the antibiactics have killed the good bacterias. He is kinda crabby so maybe that means he is starting to feel a little better or just tired of the whole game........ His white blood count is 18 today so down some from yesterday.
Pam, we loved the Utah Whipple! Wish we could have just called the plummer to take care of his problem and it would have been taken care of! ha! Wishful thinking. I hope to sneak away for a few minutes to take a nap here in a little while. I did go down and get a haircut this morning so feel 5 lbs lighter! It was getting pretty long and unmanageable...... Love to everyone, we are anxious to get home and see everyone and how the wind farm and farming looks. We are not missing the Ks wind though!
See ya, Love and prayer, Rox

Hi Robert and Rox, I know it must be difficult to be gone from home for so long. No wonder you feel crabby, Robert. The longest time I was ever gone from home was 10 days and I couldn't wait to get home. It was the London trip and I think Glonda got even more homesick than I did. Glad you are getting outside and walking around. The fresh air and exercise are good for both of you. ML is still home sick....it is a bad bug. Keeping you in our prayers everyday and hope you are home soon! Love, Relda & ML

Hi there,
Just got home from school. Glad to hear that you both went out walking. I loved walking around that garden area and park. I am hoping to get out on a walk tonight sometime.
The kids at school wore me out today...is it really only Tuesday??? :-)
XOXO
