They dismissed Robert from the hospital! Him and Roxie are staying at the hotel across the street from the hospital. The doctors say that Robert is progressing really good. He was not able to rest in the hospital this morning so he was going to lay down for a nap when they got to the hotel. Robert still has to take insulin but it is about 1/2 of what he was taking. They will head home on Monday. It sounds like it will be a long trip home, the doctors recommended that Robert stop every two hours and walk around a little. Ryan should be getting home about right now. In about 4weeks they will need to go back to Rochester for a check up and plan out the Chemo & Radiation schedule. He will be able to take Chemo at home but for the Radiation he will have to go back to Rochester. Thanks again to everyone for all your thoughts and prayers!

Well Rox and Robert sounds like you maybe can just sit back and relax for the weekend. Try if you can and we will pray for your safe trip back home when you start out Monday. It is raining here to night Friday. I know it is going to be a long trip until all of this is over and you both can get back to normal or at least on a schedule and so I am going to just keep on praying for both of you to get through this with as little stress as possible. No one knows how hard it is till we have to go through something like you are going through but with all the prayers from your family and friends we pray that it goes fast for you both and your family and back to the ever old day schedule. We love you so hang in there and hope to hear good news next week that you got home o.k. Love Hermaine

We made it through the night and Robert is taking a nap and I'm doing laundry. TV and light was on all night but I did manage to sleep some. I guess I was just TIRED!!!! Not sure what we will do today. He needs to shop for some new sweats as he can't wear his jeans and needs to be comfortable for the ride home.
They have Mass at the church at the hospital @ 4:40 p.m. so will probably attend it. Hope to see everyone when we finally get home.
Not sure when yet!!! Taking it one day at a time.
Rox

Good Morning Aunt Roxie & Uncle Robert. Hope you're watching hotel movies and ordering room service!!! Maybe it's better than having nurses poking on you every couple hours? Have a safe drive home.

Hi Mom and Dad,
Glad you had a good night. We are watching it rain here in Augusta. They are sandbagging all over town. Darren is afraid his building might flood. The water is getting close! Our sump pump at the house continues to run. Thank Goodness. I am catching up on laundry and cleaning my house. It is going to be a gloomy day. I'll call you later.
Love from Kansas,
Darren, Renissa, Nolan, and Camrea

Hi there, well, I agree with Pam, pamper yourselves and get room service and movies. Try to rest as much as possible for your trip home. We continue to pray and send our love to you. We will be heading down to Denver for Kaleigh's graduation party after while. Renelle passed out again last night and hit her head but she is fine. Something wasn't right with her incision at her last check up so they had to put some kind of special bandages on it. Also, she was allergic to the adhesive on the tape. She is getting around and driving but still not able to bend over or lift. We have had rain for two days but the sun is out today and very nice here. Supposed to get a cold front tomorrow. I am dreading the four letter word (snow) but up here in the mountains, it could happen any day. Love, Relda & ML

Hi Rox & Robert!

Glad to hear you had a good night. How are the movies?! :) Last night was homecoming here...was a beautiful night the first half...then the rain came in...we were SOAKED by the time we made it to the pickup! Kind of reminded us of the time Davetta took us to Sea World!!! Hayden had his first soccer game of the season this morning...Shawn is getting equipment ready to cut firewood...I guess that means fall has arrived!

Have a good trip home...just take it easy and take your time. We'll be thinking of you!

Love...Cindy, Shawn, Hayden & Jenna

Room service and movies sound like a good idea, but I think the honeymoon is over...... No room service and too tired to watch anything! You know the farmer, he is watching the weather channel.
I keep looking out the window thinking I'm in Maui. I'm sure when the bills start coming in I could have went there several times. Oh well!!!! Did get a nap, got him sweats, attended mass and had supper so had a full day. Time to retire to the room. He is getting grumpy so maybe he is healing...... Not sure, he was crabby before also. Couldn't be the "smokes" could it????
See ya soon.
Love & prayers,
Rox

Hi again,
We had a productive day here in Augusta. The laundry is all done and the house is clean. It finally stopped raining about 11 this morning. The flood waters have gone down some. Darren's baseball building is still dry. It is starting to sprinkle again and they are calling for more rain tomorrow.
I worked on your Holland scrapbook today. I hope to have it done so you can take it home with you. Camrea took 2 naps today!!!
If dad gets too cranky...tell him to go suck on some pumpkin seeds. HEE!! (inside joke)
Love ya!! Good night!

I was told this morning anyone who has had a whipple procedure can do anything he wants to do, so he changed his mind and we are headed out of Rochester today. We will go as far as he is able and then stop and spend the night. It might take us 3 days to get home.
See ya then. Pray for our safe travels.......
Love, Roxie
